Five Element Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an ancient form of Chinese Medicine that understands health as a dynamic state of balance across body, mind and spirit. Rather than viewing symptoms in isolation, it recognises that every expression of imbalance arises from an underlying disruption in the natural flow of energy within a person. At its core, it seeks to identify and treat the unique energetic make-up of the individual to restore and sustain harmony back to a person’s whole being.

Five Element theory is founded on the observation that human beings are inextricably linked with the natural world. Just as the seasons turn and elements shift, we too move through cycles of growth, transformation, decline and renewal. The Five Elements - wood, fire, earth, metal and water - are not simply symbolic, but represent fundamental forces of life. Each element corresponds to specific organs, emotions and qualities of spirit, forming an inner ecology that shapes how we experience ourselves and the world around us.

When these elements are in balance within us, we experience ease and vitality. But when even one becomes weakened or disrupted, the entire system can begin to struggle. What may start as a subtle divergence can, over time, surface as physical, emotional or mental patterns of disharmony - which we then experience as symptoms.

Through fine observation, diagnostic insight and the use of precise acupuncture points, this approach seeks to engage directly with the elemental forces at play within each individual. Working with the body’s own intelligence and rhythm, this system offers an understanding of human health that is both profound and deeply human — one that honours the uniqueness of each person and recognises that true restoration begins at the root, where body, mind and spirit meet.

  • “After just three sessions with Tilda I can say with confidence that after 2 years of chronic back pain I can finally breathe in again without being in agony! She is such a gentle person and makes me feel completely at ease, even whilst being terrified of needles. I genuinely thought I had tried everything and didn’t realise that the pain stored in my body just needed unblocking through acupuncture. The five elements and body, mind, spirit connection aspect of our health is so often overlooked in medicine. I’ve recommended her to all of my friends for any mental and physical health problems!”

It was such a positive and valuable experience and I have felt noticeable impactful changes that I had not been able to achieve through other avenues. Tilda is a calm and warm presence, she instantly made me feel at ease, and I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone who is feeling curious about starting acupuncture.”

  • “I came to Tilda for persistent insomnia that had been severely disrupting my life for months. After around ten sessions, I'm delighted to report that my sleep quality has improved dramatically. Beyond addressing my initial concerns, acupuncture has become an invaluable support for my overall mental wellbeing, with truly transformative results. Tilda's warmth and attentiveness have made these sessions an essential part of my wellness routine - I couldn't recommend her services highly enough!”

  • “I am so grateful for the wonderful work and support Tilda has given me through her acupuncture treatment over the past year. She has a real gift of being able to listen to all that’s going on in daily life and distil it into a course of action that has amazing results. I couldn’t recommend her more to anyone thinking of giving acupuncture go - you won’t look back!”

    Phoebe

  • “I came to Tilda for intense and chronic anxiety that had manifested itself in all encompassing constant chest pain and spiralling negative thoughts. Being a complete skeptic having tried talking therapy for over ten years and being prescribed medication I didn’t want to take, I did not expect the completely life altering effect acupuncture would have. After the first session my chest pain was completely gone. Tilda made me feel like I wasn’t insane and opened my eyes to more alternative practices as opposed to more speedily prescribed solutions. My general wellbeing, mood and outlook on life is now dramatically more positive and I’d absolutely recommend her.”

  • “I have been seeing Tilda for several months and can safely say it’s been a transformative experience. I was struggling with constant brain fog, focus and mood dips that were getting in the way of my sense of joy and productivity. After several back to back sessions I noticed a real difference to my mood and energy. I now have the energy to pursue projects I have been putting off for months. She is so observant of what's going on on a deeper level and that has been invaluable!”

  • “From the moment I arrived, Tilda’s presence was both friendly but professional and I felt very safe and relaxed. She really takes her time to understand what you need in the moment and does all she feels necessary for you to leave feeling more balanced. I am very curious what will unfold during/after my next treatment!”

    Mira

  • “I first saw Tilda at a time when I hadn't really grasped just how low I was feeling due to some major life complications. Seeing her for regular sessions has helped to reset my systems, rebuild my spirit & mental fortitude, and aid in addressing issues that had begun to manifest physically. Unfortunately acupuncture cannot solve the life issues that I still face, but I now feel so much more resilient in facing them. Tilda's expertise in shaping my treatment has been the guide I didn't know I needed on this journey and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anybody."
